Hi, I’m Ashley—the owner behind Salty Paws Mobile Pet Care.
I’ve been married to my partner Natalie for the past 10 years, and she’s been my steady support through a big part of this journey. For the last 8 years since starting my business, she’s also dealt with me being away from home the majority of the time while I built something from the ground up.
I started Salty Paws 8 years ago after reaching a point where I was simply done with the “real world” grind—the pressure, the corporate expectations, and the constant weight of demands that never seemed to let up. I wanted a life and a career that felt more meaningful, more flexible, and more aligned with what I actually care about: animals.
A big part of that shift came from my dog, Zander. He was incredibly well-behaved, but whenever we tried to plan small trips, we constantly ran into places that wouldn’t allow him to stay. That experience stuck with me—because it made no sense that a good dog like him was treated like an inconvenience instead of part of the family. That frustration, paired with my love for animals, really pushed me toward building something better.
Today, Salty Paws has grown into mobile pet care, canine massage therapy, and cold laser therapy services—all focused on helping pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for in their own environment. My approach is simple: reduce stress, meet pets where they are, and provide care that actually fits into real life for both animals and their people.
When I’m not working with pets, I’m usually thinking about how to expand wellness services and create even more ways to support animals in my community.
I look forward to meeting you and your pets and being someone you can truly trust in their care.
Meet My Pets:

Zander - My soul dog - I adopted him from a for free add on craigslist in 2012. He was a gentle giant, loved every creature big and small, got so excited to wear clothes, would kangaroo hop when he was happy. He developed doggy dementia (canine cognitive disorder) and rear leg atrophy. We let him cross to the Rainbow in May 2022.

Marvin - 2.5 Years old He was a foster fail, from Smitty's Cat Rescue he is talkative, and such an affectionate boy, and LOVES to eat, but also hates meeting new people.

Pig - 10 years old Adopted him from a local shelter when he was 2 and had been returned twice before. He came with a letter that said he didnt like other dogs, or toys. That was totally false! He snores really loud, loves sleeping under the covers, is extremely vocal, and dramatic.

Brewser - Adopted from a local shelter 3 years ago, No idea his actual age, but I always say he is 5. He hates people unless they are giving him treats, loves to be the front seat driver, and does not believe in personal space.

Pugsley - Eguene's sibling, saved from being snake food. He is very curious, and nosey!

Kevin - 2 Years old I found him on the side of the road after almost hitting him, he was a tiny kitten maybe 8 weeks old. He is deaf, and gets into everything. He is more like a puppy than a cat!
